6 Steps to Reset Your WordPress Password via phpMyAdmin

If you need to change your password but can't access your wordpress website via the login page, then we can do this Quickly & Easily using phpMyAdmin inside CPanel.

1. Login to CPanel

Login to your CPanel Account:

2. Go to phpMyAdmin

Click on phpMyAdmin, listed under Databases:

3. Select the correct WordPress Database

Click on the WordPress Database for your site, shown on the left panel.

NOTE: if you installed your website using QuickInstall, then the database name will typically have the name wrdp#

4. Select wp_users

Click on wp_users, shown on the left.

5. Click Edit for the User

Under user_login, find the User whose password you want to reset, and click Edit shown to the left of the user.

6. Change the password

Under the user_pass column to the far right, clear the current Value shown, and enter your chosen password here.

Under Function, hit the drop-down and choose MD5.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Go.
